    Description

    Up for auction is a
    Rare Original Vintage Lot of San Francisco
    and Includes:
    One Wartime Mailed Envelope
    with December 17 1941 USPS San Francisco Stamp;
    Walter Winchell Newspaper Clippings related to San Francisco;
    A tourist little story information and map that could be purchased in San Francisco and was often sold to tourist and;
    a small note that mentions that Russian immigrants of the Russian quarter, in early 1900s, still dressed in traditional costume on Sunday morning at church. For some reason this note gave me shivers, history does that sometimes.
    On the back of one of the Walter Winchell columns is an advertisement for a show at the Oakland Auditorium Theatre with Katherine Dunham and CO. of  50 Jives, a Musical Heat WAVE.  Also a Hedy Lamar film at the Orpheum.  Oakland was happening, yes?
    This is a fresh estate find with providence.
