Additional information from the Certificate of Authenticity:
“The impressive Charter Member Issue Stein of the Anheuser-Busch Collectors Club fittingly depicts the majestic poise and power of the World Famous Budweiser Clydesdale eight-horse hitch as it thunders out of the Bauernhof Courtyard at Grant’s Farm in St. Louis.
Exquisite detailing of the Bauernhof reveals its elite European heritage, and offers the perfect backdrop for the regally groomed and outfitted Clydesdales first brought to North America in 1842.
Two oval vignettes frame the central image of the stein.
One showcases the elaborate, custom-made leather and brass harnessware worn by each horse and pictures the festive mane carefully braided with red-and-white bunting and paper flowers.
In the second oval Leon (Artist Anthony Leon) has illustrated the familiar Dalmatian trained in early brewing days to protect the horses and guard against the wagon when the driver was making deliveries.
This specially commissioned stein is hand-crafted in genuine ceramic relief beautifully and faithfully detailing the intricate and meticulous design of Anthony Leon.
The unique shape of the stein – styled by Ceramarte of Brazil – accentuates the high-stepping strides of the Clydesdale hitch captured so perfectly in Leon’s life-like illustration.
Strictly limited to Anheuser-Busch Collectors Club Charter Members, each stein is individually numbers.
The stein base bears the Charter Member Issue stamp and the stein number.”
